CAR PARK - Car Park trailer premieres at Manchester's Cornerhouse.

Last month, Car Park Writer/Director Bill McCoid (with the invaluable help of Dave Brennan, Julian Bethall, Jo Dyrlaga and Matt Back) put on 15 short films at the Cornerhouse in Manchester. The "Shortz" night was an absolute sell out. It was covered by Channel M and was featured on Key 103. We would like to thank all those who supported the event.

Bill initiated the event in his capacity as Video Tutor at the School of Media, Music and Performance, at the University of Salford.

As part of the evening, for the first time a Car Park trailer was shown to a packed audience at the main cinema in the Cornerhouse.

Ticket had sold out days earlier as our man with the tickets, Julian Bethall, testifies, "We could have sold out double, even triple. In the last few days my 'phone never stopped ringing."

As a result of the Shortz night the BBC picked up on the short movies. A selection are now available to download and view on the official BBC website.
